It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their batsmen to possess a record if never given the chance.

Finally, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her most recent brilliance.

Some will argue the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this victory following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
